Weiter ging die Reise in den Osten von Hokkaido zum Notsuke Peninsula Nature Center. Wenn man hier einen guten Tag erwischt, kann man sehr viele Rotfüchse am Straßenrand sehen. Und was soll ich sagen, wir hatte richtig viel Glück und sahen an diesem Tag 7-8 Rotfüchse, teilweise aus nächster Nähe!
Einer der Rotfüchse saß ca. 20min 3-4m neben dem Straßenrand im Schnee und ließ sich von uns vom Bus aus gemütlich fotografieren. Ein sehr geduldiges Modell und ein Verhalten, welches ich von Füchsen so noch nicht kannte. In Deutschland kommen die Füchse dem Menschen normalerweise nicht so nahe. Dies war einer der besten Tage in Japan.
Animals in Japan – northern red foxes (Part 4/6)
The journey continued to the east of Hokkaido to the Notsuke Peninsula Nature Center. If you catch a good day here, you can see a lot of red foxes at the roadside. And what can I say, we were really lucky and saw 7-8 red foxes on this day, partly from close range!
One of the red foxes sat about 20min 3-4m next to the roadside in the snow and let us photograph him from the bus. A very patient model and a behaviour, which I did not know from foxes yet. In Germany the foxes normally do not come so close to humans. This was one of the best days in Japan.
